Palworld Venom Glands: How I Farm Poison Mats in 2026

I still remember my first Palworld poisoning: I was exploring at night, minding my own business, and suddenly my health bar looked like it was melting. These days, I don't run from that feeling. I farm it. Venom Glands are the item that lets me turn Pal poison into one of my favorite early-to-mid game damage tools, and in 2026 they're still absolutely worth collecting.

How To Get Venom Glands

There are three main ways I get Venom Glands in Palworld: hunting Dark Element Pals, buying from merchants, and looting the environment. Which one I use depends on how many I need and how much time I have. If I'm just one or two short for a craft, I'll buy them. If I need a stack, I go hunting.

Catch And Kill Dark Element Pals

This is my go-to method. You can collect Venom Glands by capturing or killing Dark Element Pals. Some, like Depresso and Daedream, spawn in larger numbers, so they're perfect for a dedicated farming run. Others, like Cawgnito, tend to be more solitary, which makes them less efficient unless you happen to run into one.

I always bring Dragon Element Pals when I'm hunting Dark types. Dragon is the most effective against Dark, and Neutral Element Pals have a disadvantage, so don't fill your party with Lamballs and expect a smooth ride. I learned that the hard way. My routine is simple: find a dense Dark Element spawn, weaken Pals with a bow or a Dragon Pal, then catch or kill. Capturing gives me the drops plus a chance at a better Pal, so I usually throw spheres when I can. If I'm in a hurry, I just kill them and move on.

Buy Venom Glands From Merchants

If I have Gold to spare, I can buy Venom Glands from stationary merchants and occasionally from wandering ones. The Merchant in the Small Village, for example, sells Venom Glands for 100 Gold coins, which is the same price as Flame Organs. That's not terrible, but I only buy when I desperately need to. Gold is too useful for buying Pals or Medical Supplies, and I'd rather save it for emergencies.

If you have the time, catching and killing Dark Element Pals is simply more efficient. I treat merchant glands as a convenience tax, not a primary source.

Find Venom Glands In The Environment

Sometimes I find random loot bags lying around, and I've pulled Venom Glands from chests or as random drops on the ground. I'm not sure what the exact drop or spawn rate is, but it's always worth keeping an eye out for unusual loot. I also like to let Syndicate enemies or aggressive Pals do the dirty work for me. If I see them fighting a Dark Element Pal, I wait, then swoop in after the deed is done. I may still have to deal with the thugs, but at least I didn't waste arrows on my quarry.

Chests are another occasional source. I double back to places where I know chests respawn and loot them again for glands, organs, and other resources. It's not the fastest method, but it adds up over time.

What Are Venom Glands For?

Venom Glands are used to craft weapons and other technologies at your base. The earliest craftable item I needed them for was the Poison Bow and the accompanying Poison Arrows. That combo is still one of my favorite ways to apply pressure in fights. Poison damage ticks while I reposition, reload, or swap to another weapon, and it makes tougher enemies much easier to wear down.

5. Sweep nearby chests and loot bags on the way back.

6. Buy from a merchant only if I'm a few short.

In 2026, Palworld has had plenty of updates, so drop tables and spawn rates can shift. The core methods still work: hunt Dark Pals, buy from merchants, and loot everything.
